Stability and exact multiplicity of periodic solutions of Duffing equations with cubic nonlinearities

open access: yes, 2007
We study the stability and exact multiplicity of periodic solutions of the Duffing equation with cubic nonlinearities. We obtain sharp bounds for h such that the equation has exactly three ordered T-periodic solutions.

Decoding the dual role of autophagy in cancer through transcriptional and epigenetic regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Transcriptional and epigenetic regulation controls autophagy, which exerts context‐dependent effects on cancer: Autophagy suppresses tumorigenesis by maintaining cellular homeostasis or promotes tumor progression by supporting survival under stress. In this “In a Nutshell” article, we explore the intricate mechanisms of the dual function of autophagy ...

Existence of periodic solutions for a class of functional integral equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
In this paper, we investigate the existence of periodic solution for a class of nonlinear functional integral equation. We first prove a fixed point theorem in a Banach algebra and with its help, an existence theorem about periodic solution to the ...

P‐glycoprotein modulates the fluidity gradient of the plasma membrane of multidrug resistant CHO cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
To explore the impact of the overexpression of the multidrug‐transporter P‐glycoprotein (ABCB1) on membrane fluidity, we compared the transversal gradient of mobility and microviscosity in plasma membranes of drug‐sensitive Chinese hamster ovary cells (AuxB1) and their multidrug‐resistant derivatives (B30) using the fluorescent n‐(9‐anthroyloxy) fatty ...

Motion of compressible magnetic fluids in T^3

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
This article shows the existence of weak time-periodic motion of a three-dimensional system of compressible magnetic fluid driven by time-dependent external forces in a torus T^3.

Synchronous dynamics of a delayed two-coupled oscillator

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2017
This paper presents a detailed analysis on the dynamics of a delayed two-coupled oscillator. Linear stability of the model is investigated by analyzing the associated characteristic transcendental equation.

An exact expression of positive periodic solution for a first-order singular equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2020
The main purpose of this paper is to obtain an exact expression of the positive periodic solution for a first-order differential equation with attractive and repulsive singularities.

A periodic model for the dynamics of cell volume

open access: yes, 2016
We prove the existence and uniqueness of positive periodic solution for a model describing the dynamics of cell volume flux, introduced in Julio A. Hernandez \cite{H}. We also show that the periodic solution is a global attractor. Our results confirm the

Intron‐oriented HTLV‐1 integration in an adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma cell line sustains expression of intact ift81 mRNA

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In the adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL) cell line ED, the human T‐cell leukemia virus type 1 (HTLV‐1) provirus was integrated into the intron of the ift81 gene in the antisense orientation. Despite this integration, both the intact ift81 and the viral oncogene hbz were simultaneously expressed, likely due to the functional insufficiency of viral ...

Simulation of a photosynthesis

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2004
It is observed the differential equations system. The stable periodic solutions of the differential equations system of neutral type is constructed, which is based on the theory of bifurcations.
