Generalized Periodic Discharges: A Topical Review

Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, 2018
Summary: Generalized periodic discharges (GPDs) are generalized discharges that recur with a relatively uniform morphology and duration. They have a quantifiable interdischarge interval. Over the past decade, our understanding of these waveforms has improved considerably.

LPTA: A Probabilistic Model for Latent Periodic Topic Analysis

2011 IEEE 11th International Conference on Data Mining, 2011
This paper studies the problem of latent periodic topic analysis from time stamped documents. The examples of time stamped documents include news articles, sales records, financial reports, TV programs, and more recently, posts from social media websites such as Flickr, Twitter, and Face book.

THREE TOPICS ON PERIODIC ORBIT THEORY: A REVIEW

Reviews in Mathematical Physics, 1993
In this paper three topics from periodic orbit theory are reviewed: the semiclassical eigenfunction hypothesis, Bowen's equidistribution theorem, and level attraction in Artin's billiards system. The common thread in each of these subjects is the Selberg trace formula and its application to periodic orbit theory á la Gutzwiller.

SPATM: A Social Period-Aware Topic Model for Personalized Venue Recommendation

IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2022
Personalized venues recommendation is essential to help people find attractive venue to visit as growth of location-based social networks. Existing approaches never distinguish user individual interests from her social preferences, which leads to a bottleneck of modeling user check-in behaviors accurately. In this paper, we find the differences between

Systematic Review of Bilateral Independent Periodic Discharges Written for Topical Journal Subject on Periodic Discharges

Journal of Clinical Neurophysiology, 2018
Summary: Periodic discharges (PDs) are EEG patterns that may have important clinical and prognostic implications. There are different subtypes of PDs that are delineated by their location, and each type may have different meaning regarding prognosis and clinical associations. Bilateral independent PDs are a subtype that have not been analyzed

Torpedo: topic periodicity discovery from text data

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
Although history may not repeat itself, many human activities are inherently periodic, recurring daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or following some other periods. Such recurring activities may not repeat the same set of keywords, but they do share similar topics.

Topical Steroid Drops for the Treatment of Sinus Ostia Stenosis in the Postoperative Period

American Journal of Rhinology, 2006
Background Chronic oral steroid use causes significant morbidity, including osteoporosis, immunosuppression, and adrenal insufficiency. Refractory chronic rhinosinusitis patients often take repeated oral steroid courses to treat polypoid disease or sinus ostia stenosis.

A Note on the ITS Topic Evolution in the Period 2000–2009 at T-ITS

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2012
In this paper, we extend the study of the intelligent transportation system (ITS) topic evolution presented by Li et al. To do so, we apply an approach that combines both H-index-based performance analysis and science mapping to detect, visualize, and evaluate conceptual ITS themes and ITS thematic areas published by the journal IEEE Transactions on ...

Periodic Topic Mining from Massive Amounts of Data

2010 International Conference on Technologies and Applications of Artificial Intelligence, 2010
Social media keeps growing and providing us with rich sources of information to understand our everyday lives, customs, and culture in the form of periodic topics. This paper proposes a method of detecting periodic topics based on autocorrelation using the time series of the document frequencies of keywords.
