Efficacy and Safety of Catheter Ablation for Atrial Arrhythmias in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 5, May 2026.
Catheter ablation for complex atrial arrhythmias in solid organ transplant recipients is feasible using contemporary techniques, with arrhythmia‐free survival and periprocedural complication rates comparable to matched non‐transplant controls. ABSTRACT Introduction Atrial arrhythmias are common among solid organ transplant recipients and independently ...

Empirical Anatomical Versus HAFE‐Guided Cardioneuroablation for Vasovagal Syncope: Long‐Term Efficacy and Safety Outcomes

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 5, May 2026.
EAGC and HAFE‐guided cardioneuroablation achieve equivalent 24‐month syncope‐free survival and similar quality of life improvements. HAFE‐guided ablation significantly reduces procedure time and radiation exposure while maintaining comparable safety, supporting its procedural efficiency for vasovagal syncope.

Optimal Surgical Timing and Outcome Prediction in Hemorrhagic Moyamoya Disease: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
This cohort study developed and validated the first prognostic nomogram for hemorrhagic MMD, incorporating five independent predictors including a defined optimal surgical window of 3 to 6 months. The model demonstrated good discrimination and aids in risk stratification for clinical monitoring.

Sugammadex Vs. Neostigmine for Cerebral Perfusion During Emergence From General Anesthesia in Patients Undergoing Carotid Endarterectomy: A Double‐Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
In this double‐blind RCT involving 82 patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy, sugammadex significantly reduced excessive cerebral blood flow during emergence from general anesthesia compared to neostigmine (MCAV% S: 24,600 vs. 31,575, p = 0.044). Sugammadex also shortened extubation time (110 vs.

Hypoglycaemia Risk Prediction Models for Type 2 Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis evaluated existing hypoglycaemia risk prediction models for Type 2 diabetes, finding excellent pooled discrimination (AUC = 0.815) but widespread high methodological bias, highlighting the need for rigorous model optimisation and external validation.
