Femoral component rotational alignment in robotic‐assisted total knee arthroplasty with functional knee positioning varies across knee phenotypes without affecting clinical outcomes

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 11, Page 3915-3924, November 2025.
Abstract Purpose This retrospective, observational study aimed to investigate the distribution of femoral component rotational alignment among different knee phenotypes and assess the clinical relevance of femoral component rotation variability in patients undergoing image‐based robotic‐assisted total knee arthroplasty (RA‐TKA) performed with ...

Clindamycin-rifampin combination therapy for staphylococcal periprosthetic joint infections: a retrospective observational study

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2017
Background Staphylococcal species account for more than 50% of periprosthetic joint infections (PJI) and antimicrobial therapy with rifampin-based combination regimens has been shown effective.

Clinical outcomes after revision knee arthroplasty due to periprosthetic joint infection: A single‐centre study of 359 knees at a high‐volume centre with a minimum of one year follow‐up

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 11, Page 3906-3914, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Purpose Decisions on the treatment of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) are typically guided by established algorithms. However, as these algorithms often lack substantial supporting evidence, this study aimed to evaluate 1‐year survival rates and compare different surgical approaches.

Testing Sonication and Different Transport Media to Enhance Microbial Detection in Hard‐to‐Heal Venous Leg Ulcers

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 22, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Hard‐to‐heal wounds are frequently associated with underlying conditions such as diabetes, vascular disease, and biofilm‐related infections. Accurate identification of microbial origin is essential, but is often hindered by biofilms. This study evaluated whether sonication of wound dressings, combined with different sample transport methods ...

Clinical Application of 3D‐Printed Custom Hemipelvic Prostheses With Re‐Entrant Chiral Structure in Reconstruction After Pelvic Tumor Resection

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 11, Page 3067-3077, November 2025.
Novel 3D‐printed hemipelvic prostheses incorporating re‐entrant chiral structure achieved 75% porosity while maintaining structural integrity. Clinical outcomes demonstrated 86.7% disease‐free survival and significant functional improvement (MSTS‐93: 14.4→25.7) in pelvic malignancy reconstruction.
