Flow characterisitcs in a peristaltic bioreactor.
蠕動型バイオリアクターの流動特性を流れの可視化実験により検討した.染料注入法による実験から, 蠕動壁面近傍の流体は前進, 後退を繰り返しながら次第に前進し, 容器中央部の流体は同様に前進, 後退を繰り返しながら次第に後退することが観察された.また, 容器内の流体は仮想壁面で区切られた領域内でのみ運動することがわかった.トレーサー追跡法によって求めた水平方向速度分布から, 仮想壁面の存在が実際に示された.さらに, 水平方向速度分布の相似性が認められた.断面流量について解析的に考察を加え, 仮想壁面が波長の整数倍ごとに存在することを示した.

Three-Dimensional Flow Analysis of Peristaltic Flow.
A peristaltic flow is solved by finite difference method. The flow in peristaltic pump is three-dimensionally by the effect of the side walls. Since the actual peristaltic flow has a secondary flow in its cross section against the streamwise direction, so the three-dimensional flow analysis should be employed.
