Polypoid peritoneal metastases from carcinoid neoplasms
Human Pathology, 1984Two cases of lethal carcinoid neoplasia that involved unusual polypoid intraperitoneal metastases rather than the usual flat, sclerotic foci are reported. This type of intraperitoneal polypoid carcinomatosis should alert both the surgeon and pathologist to the possibility of carcinoid neoplasia.

While they have been described throughout the genitourinary system, PEComas are quite rare within the bladder. Acta cytologica, 1987This study presents data on 3,011 pleural and peritoneal effusion specimens that were examined over a three-year period (1982 to 1984). Totals of 812 (44%) of 1,846 pleural and 423 (36%) of 1,165 peritoneal specimens were positive for malignant cells.
