Chaperone‐Mediated Autophagic Degradation of USP9X in Macrophages Exacerbates Postmyocardial Infarction Inflammation and Cardiac Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that inflammatory stimuli induce the acetylation‐triggered, chaperone‐mediated autophagic degradation of ubiquitin‐specific peptidase 9 X‐linked (USP9X) in macrophages. USP9X acts as a macrophage “inflammation switch” after myocardial infarction (MI). USP9X loss destabilizes tumor necrosis factor receptor‐associated factor (TRAF)

Redox‐Programmed Activation of a Dual‐Modal Probe for High‐Fidelity Tumor Delineation and Image‐Guided Surgery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a glutathione (GSH)‐activatable dual‐modality probe (GAP9) with a redox‐tuned activation window for precise tumor detection. It remains quenched (“OFF”) in normal tissue yet activates specifically in tumors for T1‐weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) preoperative mapping and near‐infrared II (NIR‐II) fluorescence intraoperative

A STUDY ON DEMOGRAPHIC PROFILE, CLINICAL PRESENTATION AND MANAGEMENT OF CASES WITH PENETRATING ABDOMINAL INJURY

open access: yesNational Journal of Medical Research, 2014
Background: Penetrating abdominal injuries may cause considerable troubles at emergency service. The rate of non-therapeutic or negative laparotomy has been reported to be approximately 30% if routine laparotomy is performed in all penetrating ...

RADA16 and SAAP148 Peptide‐Modified Collagen Self‐Assembled Hydrogels for Accelerated Healing of Infected Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Collagen type I (Col I) is integrated with self‐assembling peptide RADA16 and loaded with anti‐bacterial peptide SAAP148 to develop a self‐assembled nano‐microstructure hydrogel (Col I‐RADA16‐SAAP148, CRS) without chemical cross‐linkers. CRS exhibits excellent mechanical properties, sustained SAAP148 release to inhibit bacterial infection, macrophage ...
