Global Change Biology, Volume 31, Issue 11, November 2025.We investigated the recovery of corals and fishes at one of the world's largest coral reef restoration projects, in central Indonesia. Within 4–6 years of the coral restoration starting, the total amount of coral and many groups of fishes rebounded back to levels equivalent to nearby healthy reefs.
