The synchronous generator with permanent magnets and excitation winding

Results of electromagnetic calculations of hybrid synchronous induction generator are presented in the paper. The synchronous generator is excited by permanent magnets and by excitation winding placed in the rotor. After the calculations of the electromagnetic circuit had been run, a physical model of the generator has been manufactured.

Induced pole permanent magnet synchronous generator

The design of an induced pole permanent magnet generator by retrofitting an induction motor is shown. The geometry was parameterized in order to explore the complete design panorama with the finite element method. The highest back EMF case was chosen and manufactured. The experimental results are analyzed and compared with the simulations.
