Advanced Angle Field Weakening Control Strategy of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2019The conventional field weakening algorithm is more dependent on parameters and computational complexity. Therefore, the concept of advanced angle β is introduced, and the conversion of constant torque operation mode to field weakening operation mode is ...

Hybrid permanent-magnet synchronous motors
Proceedings of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, 1978The paper provides a comprehensive review of the development of self-starting synchronous motors with permanent-magnet excitation. Several new configurations of machine are described and their performance is demonstrated. Some important aspects of the performance are discussed.

Modelling of permanent magnet synchronous motors
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1986A permanent magnet motor with power semiconductor supply and shaft position sensing can be constructed using radially- directed high energy magnets on its rotor. This paper presents equivalent circuit models for such motors. The model parameters are related to the motor structure and dimensions.

2013 15th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE), 2013
This paper presents a method for the comparison of two kinds of permanent magnet synchronous motors. The study also includes the selection of permanent magnet type: ferrite or NdFeB. The aim is to maximize the performance (average torque and power factor) of these motors at equal cost. The analysis is done using Finite Element Method.

Core loss in buried magnet permanent magnet synchronous motors
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 1989The steady-state core-loss characteristics of buried-magnet synchronous motors operating from a sinusoidal constant frequency voltage supply are investigated. Measured and calculated core loss, with constant shaft load, is shown to increase with decreasing terminal voltage due to an increase in armature reaction-induced stator flux-density time ...

OPTIMIZATION AND ANALYSIS OF AN INTERIOR PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS MOTOR [PDF]
This paper aims to optimize an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor and analyze the operating characteristics of optimized models compared to the starting model. The optimization is done by optometric analysis, i.e., four motor parameters are selected and varied within certain boundaries, allowing new motor models to be obtained from each ...

Chaos Synchronization Analysis on Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
2015 International Conference on Industrial Informatics - Computing Technology, Intelligent Technology, Industrial Information Integration, 2015This paper deals with different chaos synchronization control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM). Based on the theory of finite-time stability theory, a novel controller is designed to control the PMSM. In addition, another kind of controller for the PMSM with uncertain parameters is designed to achieve global asymptotic synchronization goal -

Sensorless velocity control of permanent-magnet synchronous motors
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 1998A digital sensorless velocity tracking controller for the permanent-magnet synchronous motor is presented. The control is sensorless in that it requires no mechanical sensors whatsoever, but instead uses a nonlinear observer to estimate rotor position and velocity from stator current measurements.
