Evaluation and Prediction of Drug Permeation
Abstract A major challenge confronting the pharmaceutical scientist is to optimize the selective and efficient delivery of new active entities and drug candidates. Successful drug development requires not only optimization of specific and potent pharmacodynamic activity, but also efficient delivery to the target site.

Wood‐based broadband blackbody is achieved by reconfiguration of wood with lignin nanoparticles prior carbonization. Neglectable reflectivity from the visible to infrared wavelengths is obtained by combining thin nanostructures originated from the wood cell walls with long‐range microcavities in the wood lumina.

Permeation characteristics of gramicidin conformers
To investigate the molecular origin of decreased conductance in variant gramicidin channels, we examined the current-voltage (IV) characteristics of single Val1-gramicidin A channels. Unlike standard channels, all variant channels showed pronounced rectification even though bathing solutions were symmetrical.

A suspension of metal‐organic nanosheets was centrifuged to form self‐healing gels with a hierarchically porous structure. The prepared gels were used to selectively capture small molecules from solutions and differentially release them based on their size and charge. Abstract Metal‐organic nanosheets (MONs) are intrinsically porous 2D materials with a

For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,
