A REVIEW OF PERMEATION TUBES AND PERMEATORS

Separation and Purification Methods, 2000
In this review, the basic principles underlying the design and application of permeation tubes and permeators are discussed. The fundamental theory is cast in terms of Fick's Laws and Henry's law. The various types of polymer materials and permeation tube devices are then discussed, with a view toward the final application of the devices.

A Permeation Router

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 1987
A permeation routing algorithm is proposed which decides the detailed routes on a new layout model. The permeation router attains a higher density by using the expanded routing region as well as the conventional one simultaneously. This routing algorithm consists of two phases.

Water permeation in coatings

Journal of Coatings Technology and Research, 2020
The objective of this work is to develop and evaluate experimental approaches with different analytical techniques to measure the permeability, diffusivity, and solubility of water in model coatings. These properties are of primary relevance in studies of coatings for corrosion protection.

Permeation of Solutes [PDF]

open access: possible, 1968
All micro-organisms possess a barrier which effectively preserves the integrity of the organism and limits the entrance and exit of solutes. It is now generally agreed that this barrier, which has been termed the ‘osmotic barrier’, resides in the lipid-protein cytoplasmic membrane.

Permeating Flux

2015
All the species permeating a membrane generate a stream passing through the membrane, a stream characterized by a flow rate according to the actual operating conditions.

Permeation and Permeation Barrier

2016
Because of their small sizes in molecular and atomic forms, hydrogen isotopes easily dissolve in a solid material and permeate through it. The permeation through a container material is a critical issue against safe confinement of tritium. On the other hand, it is common to employ a permeation technique for the separation of hydrogen isotopes from ...

Effect of permeation enhancers and organic acids on the skin permeation of indapamide

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2008
The aim of present study was to investigate the transdermal properties of indapamide and to explore the efficacy of various permeation enhancers and organic acids with regard to the percutaneous absorption of indapamide. Permeation experiments were performed in vitro, using rat abdominal skin as a barrier. In the permeation studies, 2-chamber diffusion

Permeation Number

2015
The permeation number expresses, for each species, a comparison (ratio) between two main transport mechanisms involved in a membrane separation unit.

The effect of permeation area ratio and shape on hydrogen permeation

Scripta Metallurgica et Materialia, 1994
It is generally agreed that the factors influencing permeation and diffusion hydrogen at room temperature are as follows: the thickness and surface condition of the specimen, composition, microstructure and grain size of the material, hydrogen traps and stress or strain conditions for the specimen, etc.
