Isotropy Properties of the Multi-Step Markov Symbolic Sequences [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A new object of the probability theory, the two-sided chain of symbols (introduced in Ref. arXiv:physics/0306170) is used to study isotropy properties of binary multi-step Markov chains with the long-range correlations.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Geometric discretization of the Koenigs nets

open access: yes, 2002
We introduce the Koenigs lattice, which is a new integrable reduction of the quadrilateral lattice (discrete conjugate net) and provides natural integrable discrete analogue of the Koenigs net. We construct the Darboux-type transformations of the Koenigs

Restricted Permutations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 1985
Let \(S_n\) be the symmetric group on \(\{1,2,\ldots,n\}\). A permutation \(\sigma \in S_n\) is said to avoid the 3-letter word 132 iff there is no triple \(1\leq ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Bäcklund transformation and soliton solutions for a generalized Wadati-Konno-Ichikawa equation

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
By employing a reciprocal transformation, we relate the generalized Wadati–Konno–Ichikawa (gWKI) equation to an associated gWKI (agWKI) equation. Utilizing the Darboux transformation of the agWKI equation and Bianchi's theorem of permutability, we derive

Covering n-Permutations with (n+1)-Permutations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2013
Let $S_n$ be the set of all permutations on $[n]:=\{1,2,\ldots,n\}$. We denote by $\kappa_n$ the smallest cardinality of a subset ${\cal A}$ of $S_{n+1}$ that "covers" $S_n$, in the sense that each $\pi\in S_n$ may be found as an order-isomorphic subsequence of some $\pi'$ in ${\cal A}$.  What are general upper bounds on $\kappa_n$?

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
