Chung and Graham define quasirandom subsets of $\mathbb{Z}_n$ to be those with any one of a large collection of equivalent random-like properties. We weaken their definition and call a subset of $\mathbb{Z}_n$ $ε$-balanced if its discrepancy on each interval is bounded by $εn$.

A characterisation via graphs of the soluble groups in which permutability is transitive [PDF]
[EN] There are different ways to associate to a group a certain graph. In this context, it is interesting to ask for the relations between the structure of the group, given in group-theoretical terms, and the structure of the graphs, given in the ...

Permutability of Backlund transformation for N=1 supersymmetric sinh-Gordon
The permutability of two Backlund transformations is employed to construct a nonlinear superposition formula to generate a class of solutions for the N = 1 super sinh-Gordon model. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V.

Objective Studies of damage accrual in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) show associations with disease activity measured by the SLE Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI‐2K), but these associations are imperfect. SLEDAI scores are powerfully influenced by weightings (1–8) assigned to each domain.

Conditional permutability of subgroups and certain classes of groups [PDF]
[EN] Two subgroups A and B of a finite group G are said to be tcc-permutable if X permutes with Y for some g epsilon (X, Y), for all X

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Permutations of a Multiset Avoiding Permutations of Length 3
A sequence of numbers \(\alpha =(a_{1},\dots ,a_{m})\) is contained in a sequence of numbers \(\beta =(b_{1},\dots ,b_{n})\) if there is a subsequence \((b_{i_{1}},\dots,b_{i_{m}})\), \(i_{1}

On the subgroup permutability degree of some finite simple groups. [PDF]
PhDConsider a finite group G and subgroups H;K of G. We say that H and K permute if HK = KH and call H a permutable subgroup if H permutes with every subgroup of G. A group G is called quasi-Dedekind if all subgroups of G are permutable. We can define,

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.
