Electronic structure of perovskite related La2CuSnO6

Physica C: Superconductivity, 1995
Abstract The band structure of La 2 CuSnO 6 in both its real and idealized crystal structure was determined using the local density full-potential linearized muffin-tin orbital (LMTO) method. Unlike the case for all other high- T c copper-based materials, the Fermi energy for the undoped crystal is located exactly on the van Hove saddle-point ...

Perovskite and Related Structure Systems

1998
Perovskite and perovskite-related structures are important crystallographic structures particularly for oxide functional materials because most of the newly discovered functional materials belong to this category (for a complete list of perovskite structures, see Galasso, 1969, 1990).

Crystal structure of BaSc2O4; its relation with perovskite

Materials Research Bulletin, 1983
Abstract The crystal structure of BaSc2O4 has been determined on single crystals. The crystal symmetry is monoclinic ( C 2 c , Z = 12) with a pseudo-orthorhombic unit cell. The relationship with parent perovskite structure is discussed in terms of coordination polyhedra and bond lengths.

Activation Strategies of Perovskite‐Type Structure for Applications in Oxygen‐Related Electrocatalysts

Small Methods, 2021
AbstractThe oxygen‐related electrochemical process, including the oxygen evolution reaction and oxygen reduction reaction, is usually a kinetically sluggish reaction and thus dominates the whole efficiency of energy storage and conversion devices.

Incorporation of water in strontium tantalates with perovskite-related structure

Solid State Ionics, 2001
Abstract The electrical properties and water uptake of the oxygen-deficient perovskite-related compounds Sr 6 Ta 2 O 11 and Sr 5.92 Ta 2.08 O 11.12 have been investigated with AC conductivity, transport number measurements and thermogravimetry. In wet atmospheres, they become hydrated mainly around 500°C and exhibit mixed proton and oxygen ion ...

Strontium tantalates with perovskite-related structure

Solid State Ionics, 2000
Abstract The perovskite-related solid solution Sr 6−2 x Ta 2+2 x O 11+3 x with oxygen structural vacancies has been studied by ac-conductivity measurements and thermogravimetry experiments in atmospheres of various water activities. It is found that Sr 6−2 x Ta 2+2 x O 11+3 x with high oxygen vacancy concentrations is a high-temperature mixed

Investigation of the perovskite related structures of NaMgH3, NaMgF3 and Na3AlH6

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2000
Abstract Two perovskite related metal hydrides, NaMgH3 and Na3AlH6 were structurally investigated using powder diffraction techniques. Single crystal X-ray data was also used to for the first time confirm that the structure of NaMgF3 is analogous to the orthorombically distorted perovskite structure of GdFeO3 space group Pnma (no. 62) .

Novel series of perovskite-related crystal structures

Solid State Ionics, 1998
Abstract The crystal structures of the alkaline-earth ruthenates Ba 5 Ru 2 O 9 (O 2 ), Sr 4 Ru 2 O 9 and Ba 4 Ru 3 O 10 belong to three different series. They may be described both in terms of an octahedral framework and by the stacking of perovskite-like layers.

2H-perovskite related oxides: Synthesis, structures, and predictions

CrystEngComm, 2012
The ability to synthesize new complex oxide materials that belong to any of the large number of known oxide structural families relies typically on a general understanding of the relationship between the specific structure type and the chemical composition of its members.
