Structure–property relations in doped perovskite oxides
International Journal of Inorganic Materials, 2001Abstract A review of experimental work on A cation size effects in perovskites such as AMnO 3 CMR materials, A 2 CuO 4 and ABa 2 Cu 3 O 7− x superconductors and ATiO 3 ferroelectrics is presented. These show that the mean A cation radius and cation size variance are both important parameters that control properties.

Defect structure and electrical conductivity of niobates with related perovskite-type structures
Solid State Ionics, 1984Abstract The electrical conductivity in terms of T and PO2 of alkaline earth niobates is strongly related to the degree of long-range ordeer of the different ions in the B sites of the perovskite structure: A(B′ 1 3 Nb 2 3 )O 3 and passes through a minimum at intermediate PO2.

The Structural and Magnetic Characterisation of Perovskite-Related Oxyfluoride Materials
2023This thesis explores two n=1 Aurivillius oxyfluoride phases and their structural characterisation and how this relates to their physical properties. Bi2CoO2F4 was successfully analysed using XRPD, NPD, XANES and SHG techniques. Structural characterisation of NPD data collected at 50 K and at 5 K indicated rotations of CoF6 octahedra about both in-plane

Localized to Itinerant Electronic Transitions in Perovskite-Related Structures
1999Experiments on several perovskite-related transition-metal oxides at the cross-over from localized to itinerant electronic behavior reveal strong electron coupling not only to static, but also to dynamic oxygen displacements. A discontinuous change in the mean kinetic energy of the electrons results in a first-order transition at the cross-over and a ...

Abstract NaNiF3 perovskite was found to transform to post-perovskite at 16–18 GPa and 1273–1473 K. The equilibrium transition boundary is expressed as P (GPa)=−2.0+0.014×T (K). Structure refinements indicated that NaNiF3 perovskite and post-perovskite have almost regular NiF6 octahedra consistent with absence of the first-order Jahn–Teller active ...

Abstract Well-developed single crystals of the title compound were prepared using a BaCl2 flux and investigated by X-ray diffraction methods using Mo(Kα) radiation and a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) detector. The crystal structure was solved and refined in the hexagonal symmetry with P 6 ¯ m 2 space group, a=5.6698(2) A and c=14.4654(

Ba2U2O7 : A canted ferromagnet with double-perovskite related orthorhombic structure
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2006Abstract Ba2U2O7 with double-perovskite related orthorhombic structure has been prepared by reducing BaUO4 in H2 (He) atmosphere. The magnetic susceptibility (χ) measurement has revealed that this system undergoes successive magnetic transitions, first at TN′=60 K and then at TN=19 K. The 1/χ vs.
