Ultrastable Photoactive Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal‐Sensitized SnO2 Nanorods for Room‐Temperature NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal oxide (MOx)‐based NO2 gas sensors typically require high temperatures or ultraviolet light, limiting their practical use. To enable visible‐light activation at room temperature, efficient and stable photosensitizers should be integrated with nanostructured MOx hosts.

A New Threshold Switching Device With Tunable Negative Differential Resistance Based on ErMnO3 Polymorphs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

Optical properties of perovskite alkaline earth titanates : a formulation

open access: yes, 2002
In this communication we suggest a formulation of the optical conductivity as a convolution of an energy resolved joint density of states and an energy-frequency labelled transition rate.

Influence of order-disorder transitions on oxygen permeability through selected nonstoichiometric perovskite-type oxides [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
New results on the oxygen permeability of perovskite-type oxides SrCo0.8B'0.2O3¿¿ (with B'=Cr, Fe, Co and Cu) and La0.6Sr0.4CoO3¿¿ are presented. The occurrence of order-disorder transitions at elevated temperatures (790¿940°C) in these phases has been ...

Liquid Phase Transmission Electron Microscopy: A Window into the Early Stages of Complex Material Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,

Phase formation on the surface of lead ferroniobate depending on the conditions of mechanochemical synthesis and sintering [PDF]

open access: yesScience of Sintering, 2016
The perovskite structure is formed at lower temperatures with an increase in the time of preliminary activation. It is demonstrated that thermal treatment of mechanically activated for 25 minutes mixture composed of niobium oxide, lithium ...

Effect of Al on the sharpness of the MgSiO_3 perovskite to post-perovskite phase transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
By means of static ab-initio computations we investigate the influence of Al on the recently discovered perovskite to post-perovskite phase transition in MgSiO_3. We examine three substitution mechanisms for Al in the two structures: MgSi → AlAl; SiSiO →

Synthesis of silicon doped SrMO3 (M=Mn, Co): stabilization of the cubic perovskite and enhancement in conductivity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we report the successful incorporation of silicon into SrMO3 (M=Co, Mn) leading to a structural change from a hexagonal to a cubic perovskite.
