Kinetics of decomposition of peroxynitrous acid
The conversion of peroxynitrite into nitrate has been studied at 0° from pH 4 to 9. The kinetics are consistent with conversion's occurring through the peroxynitrous acid molecule, at a specific rate of 6 min.–1, and a pKa of 6·6.
