CT beam dosimetric characterization procedure for personalized dosimetry [PDF]
Personalized dosimetry in computed tomography (CT) can be realized by a full Monte Carlo (MC) simulation of the scan procedure. Essential input data needed for the simulation are appropriate CT x-ray source models and a model of the patient's body which is based on the CT image.

Impact of Device Architecture on Proton Detection Efficiency in 2D Perovskite Thick Film Detectors
This work shows the role of device architecture in MeV proton detection with 2D perovskite thick (> 1 µm) films. A direct comparison between planar and stacked devices demonstrates that the stacked geometry achieves superior response by enabling more efficient charge collection and better exploitation of the active layer volume, ensuring stable and ...

Concurrent ANNPE and vertebral T‐cell lymphoma in a dog: A case report
Acute non‐compressive nucleus pulposus extrusion (ANNPE) is a recognised cause of peracute spinal cord injury in dogs, involving sudden extrusion of non‐degenerated nucleus pulposus with minimal compression. While often linked to vigorous activity, its triggers remain unclear.

Metallofullerenol Sc3N@C80(OH)18 demonstrates strong radioprotective properties as a scavenger of both short‐ and long‐lived radicals. The study reveals protection of human erythrocytes from γ‐radiation–induced biochemical damage via post‐irradiation removal of primary and secondary reactive oxidants, supported by pulse radiolysis kinetics.
