Building artificial personalities: expressive communication channels based on an interlingua for a human-robot dance [PDF]

open access: yes
The development of artificial personalities requires that we develop a further understanding of how personality is communicated. This can be done through developing humanrobot interaction (HRI).

Polyelectrolytes as a Stable and Tunable Platform for Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolytes (PEs) are introduced as advanced materials for triboelectric nanogenerators, offering precise control over tribopolarity through selective ion fixation. The tunable triboelectric properties and reliable mechanical and thermal stability of PEs enable enhanced output performance and long‐term reliability, establishing a foundation for ...

Temperature‐Dependent Optical Properties of CsCu2I3 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This work explores the temperature‐dependent optical properties of CsCu₂I₃ nanocrystals using transmittance and photoluminescence techniques. Resonant excitation conditions and energy level modeling reveal critical insights into the self‐trapped exciton emission mechanism.

The Development of Animal Personality

open access: yes, 2017
Although the topic of animal personality has recently generated much interest, the role of development is little understood. This collection of papers deals with the development of animal personality. Topics include the roles of genetic effects, maternal effects, social partners, predation and parasitism risk, and environmental complexity in the ...

Viscoelasticity, Lubricity, and Wear Prevention of Cross‐Linked Mucin Gels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Physiologically, biolubrication by mucus reduces friction and protects tissues from tribological stress, with mucins playing a key role. This study compares mucin‐based gels with distinct crosslinking architectures to explore their effect on the lubrication and wear prevention abilities of reconstituted mucin gels.
