Reconstructing Three‐Dimensional Optical Anisotropy with Tomographic Müller‐Polarimetric Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tomographic Müller polarimetric microscopy is a novel imaging technique that resolves 3D birefringent properties of bulky samples, unveiling hierarchical nanostructures at microscopic resolution. Based on incoherent visible‐light polarimetry, it achieves experimental simplicity by eliminating phase measurements.

Marketing is Persuasion and Persuasion is Marketing

open access: yes, 2018
Dietary supplements are getting increasingly popular nowadays. In this work, the mechanisms behind dietary supplement sales are explained, using communication and text linguistics as a framework. A brief account of history of persuasion is given, and Edward Bernays' contribution as a public relations agent is shown as an important step in the ...

Suppressing Colloidal Quantum Dot Multimer Fusion Leads to High‐Performance InSb Infrared Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work shows that the fusion of InSb colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) leads to the formation of band‐tail trap states that are detrimental to the performance of optoelectronic devices. These results highlight the critical role of suppressing band‐tail trap states and passivating surface defects in enhancing device performance and motivate toward the ...

CXCL6 Reshapes Lipid Metabolism and Induces Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation in Cholangiocarcinoma Progression and Immunotherapy Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CXCL6's function in cholangiocarcinoma is underexplored. Here it is discovered that CXCL6 is upregulated in cholangiocarcinoma tissues and promotes proliferation and metastasis of it. CXCL6 functions through the CXCR1/2‐JAK‐STAT/PI3K axis and reshaping tumor lipid metabolism.

Proton Acceleration with Relativistic Electromagnetic Shock

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
New Ion Acceleration Mechanism! A novel cosmic‐ray proton acceleration mechanism is proposed, where relativistic electromagnetic shocks accelerate protons transversely. Hamiltonian analysis yields a scaling law linking the proton energy to the minimum longitudinal thickness of the shock.
