Images represent an important and abundant source of data. Understanding their statistical structure has important applications such as image compression and restoration. In this paper we propose a particular kind of probabilistic model, dubbed the “products of edge-perts model” to describe the structure of wavelet transformed images.

AN APPROACH TO COMPARING COSTS OF ELECTRONIC PROCESSING OF PERT DATA: PERT I VERSUS PERT III
1964Abstract : This document develops relationships for estimating costs of processing single runs of PERT data on the 7090 computer on the basis of the number of activities per network. A comparison is also made of the PERT I vs. PERT III processing costs in which the latter appears decidedly more attractive, particularly in the larger networks.

The Accounting Review, 1964
Abstract In July, 1962, all companies working on research and development contracts for the U.S. Department of Defense or the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration were advised by those agencies that they would be expected, in the future to employ (PERT) in planning and controlling their contract work.

This paper indicates that PERT has not been as successful as its potential actually warrants. It is suggested that the practical aspects of PERT have been neglected in favor of the theoretical aspects, and that as a result PERT implementation efforts have in many cases failed. Seven basic implementation and operation errors are identified and discussed
