Cosmological perturbation theory

open access: yes, 2004
This is a review on cosmological perturbation theory. After an introduction, it presents the problem of gauge transformation. Gauge invariant variables are introduced and the Einstein and conservation equations are written in terms of these variables ...

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Non-adiabatic perturbations in multi-component perfect fluids

open access: yes, 2011
The evolution of non-adiabatic perturbations in models with multiple coupled perfect fluids with non-adiabatic sound speed is considered. Instead of splitting the entropy perturbation into relative and intrinsic parts, we introduce a set of symmetric ...

‘They Need to Hear You Say It’: Healthcare Professionals’ Perspectives on Barriers and Enablers to End‐of‐Life Discussions With Adolescents and Young Adults With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT End‐of‐life conversations with adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer rarely occur without the guidance of healthcare professionals. As a part of the ‘Difficult Discussions’ study, focused on palliative care and advance care planning discussions with AYAs with cancer, we investigated the factors that healthcare professionals identify ...

Highly Dispersive Optical Soliton Perturbation, with Maximum Intensity, for the Complex Ginzburg–Landau Equation by Semi-Inverse Variation

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
This work analytically recovers the highly dispersive bright 1–soliton solution using for the perturbed complex Ginzburg–Landau equation, which is studied with three forms of nonlinear refractive index structures.

Fourth-order perturbative equations in Lagrangian perturbation theory for a cosmological dust fluid

open access: yes, 2012
We have derived fourth-order perturbative equations in Lagrangian perturbation theory for a cosmological dust fluid. These equations are derived under the supposition of Newtonian cosmology in the Friedmann-Lema\^{i}tre-Robertson-Walker Universe model ...

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Application of perturbation gene expression profiles in drug discovery—From mechanism of action to quantitative modelling

open access: yesFrontiers in Systems Biology, 2023
High dimensional characterization of drug targets, compound effects and disease phenotypes are crucial for increased efficiency of drug discovery. High-throughput gene expression measurements are one of the most frequently used data acquisition methods ...
