Growth Differentiation Factor 11 Is a Circulating Regulator of Oligodendrocyte Differentiation and CNS Myelin Formation and Repair

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
Systemically administered GDF11 enhances CNS myelin formation and repair across both developmental and disease contexts. GDF11 promotes the differentiation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells into mature oligodendrocytes, increases myelin sheath thickness in neonatal mice, and accelerates remyelination in both the cuprizone‐induced demyelination model ...

A Protocol of National Mixed‐Methods Assessment of Childhood and Maternal Immunization

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Accurate measurement of routine immunization coverage is essential for detecting immunity gaps, guiding programmatic responses, and supporting equitable vaccine delivery. Iran's Expanded Programme on Immunization has achieved high coverage, but administrative estimates can mask some disparities.

Comparative study of a whole-cell pertussis vaccine and a recombinant acellular pertussis vaccine.

open access: yes, 1994
The safety and immunogenicity of an acellular pertussis vaccine containing the genetically detoxified pertussis toxin PT-9K/129G, filamentous hemagglutinin, and pertactin, together with diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, were compared with those of a whole ...

Pharmacy‐Based Immunization Delivery: A Comprehensive History and Current Challenges

open access: yesJACCP: JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CLINICAL PHARMACY, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Pharmacists and their teams have a long history of involvement with vaccines. This paper describes the contributions of pharmacy‐based immunization delivery in the United States from the 1800's to date. Early activities centered around storage and distribution of antitoxins and vaccines. From the 1950s through the early 1990s, pharmacists were

Diphtheria Vaccination Coverage and Correlation With Multidimensional Poverty Among Children in Nigeria

open access: yesPublic Health Challenges, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
Diphtheria vaccination coverage among Nigerian children remains suboptimal (56%). Coverage is significantly lower in Northern states and inversely correlated with multidimensional poverty. Addressing poverty‐related deprivations is essential to improving immunization equity and curbing recurrent diphtheria outbreaks.

Оценка иммунобиологических свойств вакцинных штаммов Bordetella pertussis

open access: yes, 2018
The study performed as part of evaluation of immunobiological properties of Bordetella pertussis vaccine strains offered an opportunity to standardize pertussis bacterial mass based on the content of surface antigens — agglutinogens 1, 2 and 3.

Immunoglobulin G Levels in Yemeni Preterm Newborns: Infant Factors Predominate

open access: yesReproductive, Female and Child Health, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background IgG levels in preterm infants play a crucial role in response to infection and inflammation. Infectious disease burden in the low‐income countries, such as Yemen, exacerbates the problem. The preterm infant's IgG sources are either maternal or fetal immune system.
