Cloning, Expression, Sequence Analysis and Homology Modeling of the Prolyl Endoprotease from Eurygaster integriceps Puton [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Eurygaster integriceps Puton, commonly known as sunn pest, is a major pest of wheat in Northern Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. This insect injects a prolyl endoprotease into the wheat, destroying the gluten.

Water Oxidation to Hydrogen Peroxide Over a Super‐Aerophilic Graphite Catalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Design of super‐aerophilic graphite catalyst capable of trapping in situ produced oxygen gas on its surface under the electrolyte environment. By so doing, it is able to moderate intermediate species binding, which is critical to enabling the two‐electron water oxidation reaction to hydrogen peroxide.

On the use of Traveling Waves for Pest/Vector elimination using the Sterile Insect Technique [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
The development of sustainable vector/pest control methods is of utmost importance to reduce the risk of vector-borne diseases and pest damages on crops. Among them, the Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) is a very promising one. In this paper, using diffusion operators, we extend a temporal SIT model, developed in a recent paper, into a partially ...

Anion‐Cation Synergistic Regulation of Low‐Dimensional Perovskite Passivation Layer for Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The sulfur‐hybridized aniline‐like molecule thiomorpholine (SMOR) forms n = 1 2D perovskite and is preferred to transfer into 1D perovskite instead of high n‐valued 2D perovskite after aging. Due to larger formation energy, chlorine anion is better than iodine anion to accelerate the formation of 1D phase.
