Imaging and PET — PET/CTimaging [PDF]

open access: yesJournal de Radiologie, 2008
PET-CT has grown because the lack of anatomic landmarks in PET makes "hardware-fusion" to anatomic cross-sectional data extremely useful. Addition of CT to PET improves specificity, but also sensitivity, and adding PET to CT adds sensitivity and specificity in tumor imaging.

Feasibility of imaging synaptic density in the human spinal cord using [11C]UCB-J PET

open access: yesEJNMMI Physics, 2022
Purpose Neuronal damage and synapse loss in the spinal cord (SC) have been implicated in spinal cord injury (SCI) and neurodegenerative disorders such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Dimethyl fumarate decreases short-term but not long-term inflammation in a focal EAE model of neuroinflammation

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2022
Highlights In a focal rat DTH-EAE model of neuroinflammation, dimethyl fumarate decreases the uptake of TSPO PET tracer [18F]GE-180 in the short term. Long-term [18F]GE-180 follow-up did not indicate a treatment effect.

ImmunoPET Directed to the Brain: A New Tool for Preclinical and Clinical Neuroscience

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2023
Immuno-positron emission tomography (immunoPET) is a non-invasive in vivo imaging method based on tracking and quantifying radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and other related molecules, such as antibody fragments, nanobodies, or affibodies ...

Multimodality Brain Tumor Imaging: MR Imaging, PET, and PET/MR Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Medicine, 2015
Standard MR imaging and CT are routinely used for anatomic diagnosis in brain tumors. Pretherapy planning and posttreatment response assessments rely heavily on gadolinium-enhanced MR imaging. Advanced MR imaging techniques and PET imaging offer physiologic, metabolic, or functional information about tumor biology that goes beyond the diagnostic yield ...

The value of 18F-PSMA-1007 PET/CT in identifying non-metastatic high-risk prostate cancer

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2020
Background Clinical management decisions on prostate cancer (PCa) are often based on a determination of risk. 68Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-11-positron emission tomography (PET)/computer tomography (CT) is an attractive modality to ...

[18F]Fluoride uptake in various bone types and soft tissues in rat

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2023
Background In the development of new 18F-labelled tracers, it is important to assess the amount of released [18F]fluoride taken up in the bones of experimental animals because all 18F-labelled PET-tracers are prone, to lesser or higher degree, to undergo
