AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
In this study, mechanical characterization and vibration analysis of 3D printed Polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) reinforced with short carbon fiber (PETG+CF) have been investigated. The 3D printed PETG with and without reinforcement was made based on the fused deposition method.

Mechanical Properties of Orthodontic Thermoplastics PETG/ PC2858 after Blending.
The Chinese journal of dental research, 2016To characterise and compare the tensile characteristics after multi-proportional blending, to determine the proper blending ratio for new thermoplastic material and to compare its mechanical performance with commercial thermoplastics.PETG and PC2858 aggregates were blended in five different ratios.

Sound Absorption of Solid-State PETG Foams
Porous, Cellular and Microcellular Materials, 1998Abstract The sound absorption characteristics of PETG foams have been investigated experimentally. The normal incidence sound absorption coefficient was measured using an impedance tube designed according to ASTM 1050-90. The effect of both the cell size and the density of the foam on the absorption coefficient were investigated.

Photodegradation response of PP and PETG composites
Journal of Composite MaterialsThis work revisits the accelerated weathering behavior of polymer composites, with a particular focus on the differential responses observed between their surface and core regions. For this purpose, two distinct long glass fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) systems are chosen with polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate with glycol modification ...

Transesterification reaction of polyarylate and copolyester (PETG) blends
Polymer Engineering & Science, 1997AbstractTransesterification reactions between polyarylate (PAr) and a copolyester (PETG) have been investigated by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and differential scanning calorimetry. Blends of PAr and PETG were prepared by melt mixing and solution‐casting with weight fractions of PAr in the ...

Robust superhydrophobicity by candle soot deposition on plasma-treated PETG
Surface Innovations, 2015Surface etching was achieved by exposing poly(ethylene glycol-co-1,3/1,4 cyclohexanedimethanol terephthalate) (PETG) samples to oxygen plasma produced in reactive-ion etching configuration of a radiofrequency plasma device. The surface modifications on the sample surfaces were determined by employing water contact angle measurements and profilometry ...
