Petri nets for modelling and analysing a complex system related to Alzheimer's disease

It has been proved that Alzheimer's is associated with elevated concentrations of homocysteine. Being part of a complex biological system, we can model it to study its behaviour and predict its deregulations earlier.

The evidence suggests that inflammation can lead to the development of hypertension and that oxidative stress and endothelial dysfunction are involved in the inflammatory cascade.
