Abstract This study provides the first petrographic, crystallographic, and chemical comparison between El Médano 300 (EM 300) and Northwest Africa 8155 (NWA 8155), two particular IAB‐ungrouped iron meteorites. Both contain exceptionally large graphite nodules and “flowers”, providing unique insights into carbon behavior in metallic melts and cooling ...

GOLD-POLYMETALLIC MINERALIZATION OF THE RIDDER-SOKOLNOYE DEPOSIT IN THE RUDNY ALTAI (EASTERN KAZAKHSTAN) [PDF]
New geochemical data on distribution of gold mineralization in the ore lode sections of the Ridder-Sokolnoye deposit, the largest in Rudny Altai, confirm the crossing style of gold-quartz veins and gold-bearing stockwork relative to the zonal bodies of ...

Abstract Within the Danian Scaglia Rossa Formation appears a regionally correlatable horizon cutting across multiple sections and outcrops within the Umbria–Marche Basin of NE Italy, where it is intercalated with uniform pelagic carbonate successions. This horizon is called “ALE layer” and has tentatively been interpreted as a fine‐grained volcanic ash.

Mineralogy, mineral chemistry, and redox equilibria in ten aggregate particles from asteroid Bennu
Abstract Examination of 10 Bennu aggregate particles has revealed the presence of many phases which taken together can provide constraints on the oxygen fugacity (fO2) of Bennu samples. Phyllosilicates (saponite and serpentine), carbonates, oxides (magnetite, chromite), sulfides (pyrrhotite, pentlandite), phosphate (hydroxyapatite, Na‐Mg‐phosphate ...
