Continuous Evolution System Based on Toxin–Antitoxin System Combined with Base Deaminase Accelerates the In Vivo Modification of Target Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The promoted Escherichia coli‐assisted continuous evolution (PEACE) system operates through a stringent three step genetic circuit: target gene mutation via a deaminase–T7 RNA polymerase (T7 RNAP) fusion, coupling variant function to antitoxin expression, and growth based selection of surviving cells.

Production of Natural Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas from Flare Gas using Methanol Based Process

open access: yesNigerian Journal of Technological Development, 2022
Flare gas utilization has been a topic of discussion among stakeholders of the Nigerian Petroleum Industry and one of the simplest technical and commercial strategies is to send these gases to an existing gas pipeline with spare capacity.

RNA Promotes Synapsin Condensates That Organize Synaptic Vesicles in Live Neurons and Enable Localized Translation in Reconstituted System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Condensates at synapses organize synaptic vesicles (SVs) and are crucial for efficient neurotransmitter release, yet how RNA contributes to this mesoscale architecture remains poorly understood. Here we uncover that RNA modulates synapsin–driven condensates.

Intelligent monitoring of oil product leaks in case of damage of collapsible pipelines

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Нефть и газ
Modern pipeline systems for hydrocarbon transportation utilize a diverse array of technologies and equipment. The main oil product pipelines (MOPP) include modular (disassemblable) pipeline systems (MPS). MPS are mobile engineering complexes designed for

Deep Learning‐Driven Discovery and Engineering of an Efficient PETase for Depolymerization and Detoxification of PET Microplastics Under Physiological Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A deep learning–driven pipeline mining 246 million protein sequences uncovers AhPETase, an evolutionarily distinct PET hydrolase. Engineered variant AhPETaseM1 degrades post‐consumer PET microplastics under physiological conditions and reverses microplasticinduced cytotoxicity in human lung and colon cells, establishing enzymatic microplastic ...

Logistics aspects of pipeline transport in the supply of petroleum products

open access: yesSuid-Afrikaanse Tydskrif vir Natuurwetenskap en Tegnologie, 2008
The commercial transportation of crude oil and petroleum products by pipeline is receiving increased attention in South Africa. Transnet Pipeline Transport has recently obtained permission from the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (Nersa) to construct and operate a new petroleum products pipeline of 60 cm diameter from Durban to Gauteng. At an

Appraising the effectiveness of pipeline interlinks in the distribution of refined petroleum products in Nigeria. [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Social Sciences Research Journal, 2015
This study attempted to appraise the effectiveness of pipeline interlinks in the distribution of refined petroleum products to the depots in Nigeria. The population of the study was 1468 comprising, Category A: Oil Marketers, 1258 (Major and Independent Marketers), Category B: Policy makers, 110 (Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and ...

AS‐TLC‐Based High‐Throughput Screening Integrated with CuAAC Optimization Strategy Facilitates the Rapid Discovery of YTHDC1 Inhibitor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed Affinity Selection Thin‐Layer Chromatography (AS‐TLC) as a method for high‐throughput screening (HTS) of compound mixtures. Furthermore, we integrated activity assays with AS‐TLC and identified a YTH domain‐containing protein 1 (YTHDC1) inhibitor. Building on this hit, we applied copper(I)‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click

The MoSR‐MoDde1 Regulatory Axis: A Novel Determinant of DMI Sensitivity and a Target for Sustainable Rice Blast Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The transcription factor MoSR governs DMI fungicide sensitivity in Magnaporthe oryzae through dual regulation of ergosterol biosynthesis and the detoxification enzyme MoDde1. Targeting MoDde1 via a small‐molecule inhibitor or host‐induced gene silencing enhances DMI efficacy against rice blast, offering a sustainable disease management strategy ...

Model test on cooling performance of a new method for mitigating permafrost thaw around buried oil pipeline

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
Buried pipelines have been widely used to transport petroleum-based products over long distances in permafrost regions. Field observations reveal that they are endangered by rapid permafrost thawing and resulting massive soil movements, despite adopting ...
