Aristocratic identification in Felix’s Life of Guthlac

open access: yesEarly Medieval Europe, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 435-457, August 2026.
Recent scholarship often sees high‐born monastics and clerics in early Christian England as part of the aristocratic class. Penetration enhancement effects of topically applied crosslinked hyaluronic acid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, Volume 48, Issue 4, Page 798-812, August 2026.
Cross‐linked hyaluronic acid (HA) was demonstrated to enhance the topical delivery of a variety of hydrophilic actives into the skin. This phenomenon was observed for both small molecules and macromolecules, the latter of which was analysed with MALDI mass spectrometry imaging (MALDI‐MSI).

In Situ GWAS in Two Range‐Edge Populations of European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) Identify Genetic Factors of Adaptation to Climate Change

open access: yesMolecular Ecology, Volume 35, Issue 15, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In forest tree populations, the timing of budbreak (TBB) depends on several factors, both environmental and genetic. The genomic architecture underlying this trait is still not fully characterized. So far, common garden experiments have highlighted a few genomic regions with little heritability, while the whole spectrum of TBB variation ...

FREQ‐NESS Reveals Age‐Related Differences in Frequency‐Resolved Brain Networks During Auditory Recognition and Resting State

open access: yesAnnals of the New York Academy of Sciences, Volume 1562, Issue 1, August 2026.
We adapted the FREQ‐NESS pipeline to event‐related MEG data from 140 adults during a melody‐recognition task, revealing an age‐related reorganization of frequency‐specific brain networks. Younger adults showed task‐related reduction in the prominence of alpha networks, whereas older adults maintained prominent slower alpha networks (8.6–10.0 Hz) across

A Randomized Controlled Trial With an Internal Pilot of a Co‐Designed App Targeting Upstream Suicide‐Related Risk and Protective Factors Among International Students

open access: yesSuicide and Life-Threatening Behavior, Volume 56, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background International students frequently report suicidal thoughts, yet often do not access support. Bud is a co‐designed, self‐guided mobile app developed as an upstream suicide‐prevention intervention targeting transdiagnostic mechanisms related to suicide risk.
