In this study, the preparation techniques for silver‐based gas diffusion electrodes used for the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (eCO2R) are systematically reviewed and compared with respect to their scalability. In addition, physics‐based and data‐driven modeling approaches are discussed, and a perspective is given on how modeling can aid ...

Fluoride‐Free Adhesives for Low Surface Energy Fluorinated Substrates
A universal, fluoride‐free adhesive achieves a record 4.91 MPa bond strength on PTFE by leveraging amine/amide dipole–dipole interactions, without fluorinated components. This sustainable strategy overcomes the environmental and performance limits of PFAS‐based adhesives, enabling robust, eco‐conscious bonding across diverse materials.

Cardiac‐Derived ECM Microspheres for Enhanced hiPSC‐CMs Maturation
Cardiac extracellular matrix microspheres derived from decellularized porcine heart provide a biomimetic 3D microenvironment for human induced pluripotent stem cell–derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CMs). This platform supports short‐ and long‐term culture, enhances structural organization, and promotes electrophysiological and functional maturation of ...

Water consumption contributes to maternal PFAS exposure: From source to metabolic perturbations
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are widespread persistent pollutants and pose a risk to human health. However, the transfer efficiencies (TEs) of PFAS from source water into maternal serum, and its metabolic pathways linking PFAS exposure and ...

A UV‐triggered injectable dual‐network hydrogel is reported as the first application of bletilla striata polysaccharide (BSP) in osteochondral repair. By integrating methacrylamide‐modified BSP and nitrobenzaldehyde‐functionalized hyaluronic acid, the system achieves immunomodulation, mechanical reinforcement, and dynamic tissue adhesion, thereby ...

Unveiling PFAS hazard in European surface waters using an interpretable machine-learning model
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), commonly known as “forever chemicals”, are ubiquitous in surface waters and potentially threaten human health and ecosystems.

Hydrocarbon membranes are a greener alternative to PFSA in PEM fuel cells, but degrade rapidly from radical attack. We present a novel strategy using poly(vinylphosphonic acid) (PVPA) as a local radical scavenger. Incorporated as an interfacial barrier, PVPA enhances chemical stability and significantly extends membrane lifetime under accelerated ...
