Multi‐Omics Analyses Reveal the Red and Far‐Red Light Combination Enhancing Heterologous Protein and Metabolite Production in Nicotiana benthamiana

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 10, Page 7435-7448, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Transient expression of exogenous protein in Nicotiana benthamiana leaves via agroinfiltration offers a rapid and efficient platform for functional gene discovery and heterologous production of valuable eukaryotic proteins and metabolites. Though light quality is an important factor for plant photomorphogenesis, its impact on the efficiency of

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 9, Page 1726-1740, September 2026.
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

Pirfenidone Reverts Global DNA Hypomethylation, Promoting DNMT1/UHRF/PCNA Coupling Complex in Experimental Hepatocarcinoma

open access: yesCells
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development is associated with altered modifications in DNA methylation, changing transcriptional regulation. Emerging evidence indicates that DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) plays a key role in the carcinogenesis process ...

Automated generative process synthesis via transformer‐based dual‐loop simulation and optimization

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract This study presents a novel framework for automated generative process synthesis, addressing the complexity of simultaneously optimizing discrete topologies and continuous operating variables. To overcome conventional superstructure limitations, we propose a dual‐loop architecture integrating generative transformers with rigorous process ...

A 40.68‐MHz Active Rectifier Using PLL and PWM Control of DC‐DC Converter for ON/OFF Delay Compensation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, Volume 54, Issue 9, Page 4469-4481, September 2026.
A ramp‐based phase‐locked loop (RPLL) active rectifier operating at 40.68 MHz compensates switching delay variations to improve phase alignment. The proposed architecture achieves 90.3% peak power conversion efficiency and 98.0% voltage conversion ratio for high‐frequency wireless power transfer in implantable medical devices.

Penfluridol enhances anti-tumor immunity in colorectal cancer by inducing proteasome-mediated degradation of PD-L1 via the activation of AMPK

open access: yesTranslational Oncology
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a prevalent and aggressive malignancy globally, and immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting the PD-1/PD-L1 axis have become one of the effective strategies for the treatment of this disease. Here, we discovered penfluridol (PFD),

Psychological Treatment for Pediatric Feeding Disorder (PFD) and Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, Volume 59, Issue 9, Page 1929-1944, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To produce a consensus statement on the psychological treatment of feeding/eating aversions seen in pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), diagnoses that share common symptoms and psychological mechanisms but have historically been addressed separately in the literature. Method To help
