Adsorptive and Microbicidal PFM
2002Adsorptive PFM are designed for combined deep filtration of industrial sewage where fine suspensions of solid particles, emulsified petroleum products, dissolved heavy metal salts, organic toxicants, and detergents are present simultaneously in significant variations in pH and waste composition.

Piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM)
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2011Piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) detects the local piezoelectric deformation of a sample caused by an applied electric field from the tip of a scanning force microscope. PFM is able to measure deformations in the sub-picometre regime and can map ferroelectric domain patterns with a lateral resolution of a few nanometres.

Measurement of Oxide Adherence to PFM Alloys
Journal of Dental Research, 1984A method has been reported for evaluating adherence of an oxide to its substrate metal to a maximum value of about 40 MPa. Oxidized alloy plates were cemented between two aluminum cylinders with a high-strength cyanoacrylate cement and loaded in tension until failure occurred either at the oxide/metal interface, within the oxide layer, or in the ...

Reliability estimation for the PFM
Microelectronics Reliability, 1994In this paper, reliability estimation based on the first r ordered observations and (N − r) survivors, for a preassigned r, from the Pareto failure model (PFM) is considered. The minimum variance unbiased (MVU) estimators of the mean life, hazard rate and the reliability function, and the Bayes estimators of the same under the assumptions of suitable ...

Oxidation of two high-palladium PFM alloys
Dental Materials, 1985Abstract Formation of an oxide layer at the alloy surface is important as to porcelain/alloy bonding. In this study the influence of oxygen pressure as well as oxidation temmperature and time on the oxide formation of 2 high-palladium PFM alloys was investigated. Tested were OL (Pd, Cu, Ga, In, Sn and Au) and OS (Pd, In, Sn, Cu, Ga and Co).

PFM as Carriers of Microorganisms
2002A present trend in industrial technologies is the growing role of catalytic biotechnological systems, in particular, systems for biologically cleaning air and water by employing of biologically active polymer materials (BAPM). The functional mechanisms of these materials (where a high molecular weight matrix is the carrier of live cells of ...
