Hypothalamus Regulates Anabolic Metabolism of Articular Cartilage Superficial Chondrocytes through PGE2 Skeletal Interoception

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 19, May 22, 2025.
Hypothalamus sympathetic norepinephrine inhibits regeneration of articular cartilage. Mechanical loading on bone during animal activity elevates PGE2 skeletal interoception to promote an anabolic renewal of the superficial membrane by downregulation of norepinephrine for articular cartilage proper thickness and integrity.

A Case Study of a Female Infant With Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy Demonstrates That Early Initiation of Celecoxib Slows but Does Not Prevent Symptom Progression

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 197, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy (PHOAR1) is characterized by autosomal recessive loss of function variants in 15‐hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (HPGD) leading to digital clubbing, periostosis, pachydermia, and severe hyperhidrosis. HPGD catalyzes the first step of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) degradation.

Advances in the Study of Metabolic Reprogramming in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 10, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Gastric cancer is one of the most prevalent malignancies of the digestive system and is associated with a poor prognosis, particularly in advanced metastatic stages, where the 5‐year survival rate is significantly low. Methods Recent research has demonstrated that metabolic reprogramming—including alterations in glucose, lipid, and ...

Lipid Metabolism in Gastrointestinal Malignancies: Exploring Dysregulation, Biomarkers, and Treatment Strategies

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 10, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Gastrointestinal malignancies are a major public health concern worldwide, characterized by high incidence and mortality rates. Despite continuous advancements in existing treatment methods, overall survival rates remain low. Lipid metabolism plays a crucial role in the occurrence, progression, and treatment of gastrointestinal ...
