Analysis of Reactive Oxygen Species–Induced Cellular Damage in Cervical Cancer

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are highly reactive oxygen‐based molecules comprising hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl radicals, superoxide anion, and singlet oxygen. These species are produced intracellularly and play an important role in cellular signaling and metabolism. Their high reactivity damages intracellular macromolecules such as lipids and

Insights into the role of PGF2α in canine periparturient myometrium

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology
Parturition in dogs is subjected to complex hormonal regulation, with the involvement of prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α) still not fully understood. To investigate uterine inertia (UI), the most prevalent maternal reason for dystocia in the bitch, a better ...

Reproductive and Perinatal Outcomes of Embryo Transfer in Elite Hanwoo Cows

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Reproductive outcomes following embryo transfer in Elite Hanwoo cows differed by embryo production method. OPU‐IVF was associated with higher abortion, increased birth weight of male calves and greater dystocia risk, whereas MOET resulted in more favourable calving outcomes, highlighting the importance of embryo production strategy and periparturient ...

Data Mining Strategies for Understanding Birth Patterns in Dairy Cattle: Single and Multiple Birth Analysis

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, March 2026.
Multiple machine learning algorithms are evaluated to predict multiple birth in dairy cattle using classification techniques. Among 21 models, radial basis function (RBF) and support vector machine (SVM) demonstrate superior performance with the highest accuracy and lowest error rates.

Short oestrous cycles in sheep during anoestrus involve defects in progesterone biosynthesis and luteal neovascularisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Anoestrous ewes can be induced to ovulate by the socio-sexual, 'ram effect'. However, in some ewes the induced ovulation is followed by an abnormally short luteal phase causing a so called, "short cycle".

A Review of Infectious and Non‐Infectious Causes of Pregnancy Loss in Goats

open access: yesReproduction in Domestic Animals, Volume 61, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Goats play a vital role in global agriculture, particularly in developing regions, and are increasingly kept as companion animals. Given their economic and social importance, pregnancy losses in goats represent a substantial challenge, leading to considerable economic losses and raising concerns about animal welfare and public health, as some ...

Evaluation of human chorionic gonadotropin as a replacement for GnRH in an ovulation synchronization protocol before fixed-time insemination [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the difference between gonadotropinreleasing hormone (GnRH) and human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) given at the beginning of a timed AI protocol and their effects on fertility. In Experiment 1, beef cows (n =
