Pathogenicity of Phaeoacremonium aleophilum and Phaeomoniella chlamydospora on Grape Berries in California

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2004
Injured and non-injured grape berries were inoculated with spore suspension of Phaeomoniella chlamydospora or Phaeoacremonium aleophilum under field (intact berries) and laboratory (detached berries) conditions. In one test, berries were injured by pricking the skin with a syringe needle to a depth of approximately 1.5 mm.

First studies on the potential of a copper formulation for the control of leaf stripe disease within esca complex in grapevine

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2011
An experimental formulation based on copper oxychloride and gluconates, which is able to penetrate vine foliar tissue, was tested for wood treatment against some of the fungi involved in the diseases included in the esca disease complex.

Antagonism of Bacillus subtilis strain AG1 against vine wood fungal pathogens

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2009
Antagonistic substances produced by a Bacillus subtilis strain (AG1), which were previously found to slow down the growth of esca fungi in vitro, were produced in an artificial medium, isolated from the cell-free medium by precipitation and acidification

Effect of Hot Water Treatments on Eradication of «Phaeomoniella chlamydospora» and «Phaeoacremonium inflatipes» from Dmant Grapevine Wood

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2001
Hot water treatments were applied to eradicate Phaeoacremonium inflatipes and Phaeomoniella chlamydospora from dormant grapevine wood. A thirty-minute hot water treatment at 51°C did not eliminate these pathogens from dormant wood cuttings.
