Multicenter study of the Artisan phakic intraocular lens
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2000To assess the Artisan intraocular lens to correct myopia in phakic eyes.European multicenter study sponsored by Ophtec BV, Groningen, The Netherlands. In this prospective multicenter clinical study, the Artisan lens was implanted in 518 eyes between September 1991 and October 1999. The power of the lenses ranged from -5.0 to -20.0 diopters (D).

Intraocular lens implantation in phakic rabbit eyes
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1989Three sizes (13.5 mm, 17.5 mm, and 18.5 mm) of open loop, one piece, poly(methyl methacrylate) anterior chamber intraocular lenses (IOLs) were implanted in 12 phakic rabbit eyes to evaluate the effect of the IOL on the crystalline lens and the anterior chamber. Six eyes were used as a control group. Minimum follow-up was four weeks.

Posterior Chamber Silicone Phakic Intraocular Lens
Journal of Refractive Surgery, 1997ABSTRACT BACKGROUND: We investigated the efficacy, safety, and stability of correction achieved with a silicone posterior chamber intraocular lens used to correct high myopia in phakic eyes. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A silicone posterior chamber plate-style intraocular lens (Chiron, Adatomed) was implanted in 38 consecutive phakic eyes ...

Phakic intraocular lens implantation for the correction of hyperopia
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2019The prevalence of myopia is much higher than hyperopia. Hence, there are relatively few studies investigating phakic intraocular lens (pIOL) implantation for the correction of hyperopia. This review aimed to summarize the available relevant literature on the efficacy and safety of pIOL implantation for the correction of hyperopia and hyperopic ...
