Elucidating the Phantom Phantom
Research magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) faces the negative effects of the phantom phantom, a spirit that haunts the MRI system, specifcally targeting inanimate "phantoms" used for imaging in the absence of a willing human. The detrimental effects of the phantom phantom are strongest when frustration is high. Here, given appropriate frustration, it is

We investigate the seasonal dynamics of two freshwater snails, Biomphalaria straminea and Melanoides tuberculata, in artificial reservoirs of the Brazilian semiarid region. Despite regulated hydrology, B. straminea exhibited strong seasonal fluctuations associated with dry periods, while M. tuberculata maintained stable populations throughout the year,

We apply the formalism of quantum cosmology to models containing a phantom field. Three models are discussed explicitly: a toy model, a model with an exponential phantom potential, and a model with phantom field accompanied by a negative cosmological ...

Phantom appearance of non-phantom matter
Two cosmological models with non-phantom matter having the same expansion of the universe as phantom cosmologies are constructed. The first model is characterized by the evolving gravitational "constant" $G$ and a dark energy component with a non-conserved energy-momentum tensor.

Bear management changes management actions according to the horizontal axis of the population size and the vertical axis of the number of nuisance bears. Aiming for the target population size of Ntar, Actions I and II protect the bears, and Action IV reduces the population.

Generalized second law of thermodynamics for a phantom energy accreting BTZ black hole
In this paper, we have studied the accretion of phantom energy on a (2+1)-dimensional stationary Banados-Teitelboim-Zanelli (BTZ) black hole. It has already been shown by Babichev et al that for the accretion of phantom energy onto a Schwarzschild black ...

Population size and dynamics fundamentally shape speciation by influencing genetic drift, founder events, and adaptive potential. Small populations may speciate rapidly due to stronger drift, whereas large populations harbor more genetic diversity, which can alter divergence trajectories. We highlight theoretical models that incorporate population size

Euclidean wormholes with Phantom field and Phantom field accompanied by perfect fluid
We study the classical Euclidean wormhole solutions for the gravitational systems with minimally coupled pure Phantom field and minimally coupled Phantom field accompanied by perfect fluid.

We discuss a class of phantom ($p < - \varrho$) cosmological models. Except for phantom we admit various forms of standard types of matter and discuss the problem of singularities for these cosmologies. The singularities are different from those of standard matter cosmology since they appear for infinite values of the scale factor.

FoxO1 signaling in B cell malignancies and its therapeutic targeting
FoxO1 has context‐specific tumor suppressor or oncogenic character in myeloid and B cell malignancies. This includes tumor‐promoting properties such as stemness maintenance and DNA damage tolerance in acute leukemias, or regulation of cell proliferation and survival, or migration in mature B cell malignancies.
