Integrating Vehicle Routing and Resource Allocation in a Pharmaceutical Network

open access: yes, 2019
A problem integrating resource allocation and transportation is consideredhere as an extension of the well-knownvehicle routing problem. It was proposed bya pharmaceutical company, for which items (blood samples) have to be typicallytransported from doctor offices to laboratories (where the items are analyzed bymachines) by a fleet of identical ...

A Novel Percolation Method for Determining Solubilities of Pharmaceutical Agents in Semisolid Vehicles

Pharmaceutical Development and Technology, 1999
A novel technique was developed to quantify the solubility of pharmaceutical actives in semisolid formulations. Ointments and emulsions of increasing potencies were sheared to disrupt their internal microcrystalline networks. These sheared materials were held in taut cheesecloth pouches, and the bleed that percolated out was collected and assayed for ...

Determination of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol in pharmaceutical vehicles by high-performance liquid chromatography vehicles by high-performance liquid chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 1981
Abstract A procedure for the determination of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) in the presence of its degradation products in pharmaceutical vehicles by highg-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is described. The method compares favorably with a standard gas-liquid chromatographic procedure used for the analysis of Δ9-THC in sesame oil USP.

Preclinical evaluation of alternative pharmaceutical delivery vehicles for paclitaxel

Anti-Cancer Drugs, 2002
New solubilizers, including Sorporol 230, Sorporol 120Ex, Aceporol 345-T, Aceporol 460 and Riciporol 335, as potential new delivery vehicles for paclitaxel were investigated, since recent studies have shown that the paclitaxel delivery vehicle Cremophor EL significantly alters the pharmacokinetics of paclitaxel. Cremophor EL and Tween 80 were used as a

Supporting a Pharmaceutical Wholesaler in the Vehicle Fleet Organization: an Italian Case Study

2019 10th IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Data Acquisition and Advanced Computing Systems: Technology and Applications (IDAACS), 2019
Pharmaceutical supply chains are very complex and characterized by many actors, who want to maximize their respective revenue. Except for special cases, wholesale distributors are usually in the middle between pharmaceutical manufacturers and retailers. Their role is then crucial for the efficiency of the entire chain.
