Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

New Polymorphs of the Phase-Change Material Sodium Acetate
Two new polymorphs of the phase-change material sodium acetate were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. A tetragonal form was found first.

Measurement of the anomalous phase velocity of ballistic light in a random medium by use of a novel interferometer [PDF]
Ballistic light, i.e., radiation that propagates undeflected through a turbid medium, undergoes a small change in phase velocity and exhibits unusual dispersion because of its wave nature.

Resonant cavities with phase-changing materials
Phase changing materials are commonly used for optical switching, limiting, and sensing. In many important cases, the change in the transmission characteristics of the optical material is caused by light-induced heating. We demonstrate that the incorporation of such optical materials in judiciously designed photonic structures can dramatically alter ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Low-bias electron transport properties of germanium telluride ultrathin films
The nanometer-scale size-dependent electronic transport properties of crystalline (c-) and amorphous (a-) germanium telluride (GeTe) ultrathin films sandwiched by titanium nitride (TiN) electrodes are investigated using ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD)
