Phase-field simulation of fracture in Polymethyl Methacrylate
Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, 2023Significant interest and developments have emerged in phase-field fracture modeling. The method approximates fracture continuously by introducing a length-scale parameter, accurately simulating fracture initiation and crack propagation in brittle materials like polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) with nonlinear elasticity.

Physical Review E, 2014By using the phase field crystal model, we simulate the morphological transition of the crystal growth of equilibrium crystal shape, dendrite, and spherical crystal shape. The relationship among growth morphology, velocity, and density distribution is investigated.
