A digital controlled oscillator based on controlled phase shifting
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems, 1989A new architecture for a digitally controlled oscillator is presented. It is based on a controlled phase shifting principle and shows phase and frequency characteristics comparable to those of simple accumulator-type rate-multiplier-based circuits. An important feature of the proposed configuration is the possibility of a high clock frequency, also ...

Modeling and control of thyristor controlled phase shifting transformer
2015 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT ASIA), 2015Aiming at the two-core symmetric discrete thyristor controlled phase shifting transformer (TCSD-TCPST), its modeling and control strategies are studied in this paper. Firstly, the mathematical model of TCSD-TCPST considering its equivalent impedance is deduced.

Digital control for phase shift converter
Proceedings of 2012 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics, 2012The development of intelligent microgrids with renewable energy sources increased significantly nowadays. The present paper examines and compares analog and digital control of a bidirectional phase shift converter in order to find out which is best suited to be used in intelligent microgrid applications.

Thyristor-controlled phase-shifting devices
Russian Electrical Engineering, 2014Phase-shifting devices with thyristor regulation intended for the constant control of power overflows in power-supply networks with parametric and regime nonuniformity have been developed. The phase shift of the output voltage is regulated using a high-voltage thyristor key, which ensures the speed of the device.

Reconfigurable Impedance Matching Networks With Controllable Phase Shift
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2018Two kinds of reconfigurable impedance matching networks with controllable phase shift are proposed. The reconfigurable networks can match different loads with desired phase shift at center frequency and no extra phase shifter is needed. The two networks are realized by using varactor diodes and switches, respectively.

Phase-shifting (Sagnac) interferometer with external phase control
Applied Optics, 2005A novel ring configuration for phase-shifting interferometry with external phase-shifting control is presented. The device is a polarization (ring) interferometer, in which the reference and test arms are parts of the same collimated beam. The key point is to manage the polarization of the light such that orthogonal linear polarizations describe ...

CONTROL OF STATIC PHASE SHIFTING TRANSFORMERS WITH LEAKAGE REACTANCE
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983Abstract Analysis has shown that a phase shifting transformer can enhance the stability of a power system. Methods of adjusting phase shifting transformers and control algorithms to realize the stability improvement have been demonstrated. However, in earlier work the effect of leakage reactance and reactance inserted to limit fault currents has not ...

Voltage-Controlled Phase Shift of Triangular Waves
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 1973A principle is described whereby an instantaneous voltage proportional to the phase shift of the outputs of two triangular-wave generators can be obtained. By controlling one of the triangular-wave generators with the difference between this voltage and a reference voltage, a certain phase difference between the triangular waves is obtained which can ...

Isochronic control of the carrier-envelope phase-shift
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/International Quantum Electronics Conference, 2009Experiments in extreme nonlinear optics, in attosecond physics, and in frequency metrology depend on precise control of the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of femtosecond oscillators and amplifier systems. Today intracavity fine CEP control relies mostly on pump-laser amplitude modulation [1], which is intrinsically fast but has only a limited control ...
