ELECTRIC PHASE ANGLE OF CELL MEMBRANES [PDF]
From the theory of an electric network containing any combination of resistances and a single variable impedance element having a constant phase angle independent of frequency, it is shown that the graph of the terminal series reactance against the resistance is an arc of a circle with the position of the center depending upon the phase angle of the ...

Flat lens criterion by small-angle phase
We show that a classical imaging criterion based on angular dependence of small-angle phase can be applied to any system composed of planar, uniform media to determine if it is a flat lens capable of forming a real paraxial image and to estimate the image location.

A Variational Beam Model for Failure of Cellular and Truss‐Based Architected Materials
Herein, a versatile and efficient beam modeling framework is developed to predict the nonlinear response and failure of cellular, truss‐based, and woven architected materials. It enables the exploration of their design space and the optimization of their mechanical behavior in the nonlinear regime. A variational formulation of a beam model is presented

Polarimetric studies of Comet C/2009 P1 (Garradd) [PDF]
We present the optical imaging polarimetric observations of comet C/2009 P1(Garradd) at three different phase angles e.g., 28.2$^\circ$, 28.1$^\circ$ and 21.6$^\circ$. The observations were carried out using IUCAA Faint Object Spectrograph and Camera mounted on Cassegrain focus of the 2-m Telescope of IGO, IUCAA, Pune in R$_{comet}$, R photometric ...

A numerical scheme is presented to design a lattice support for metallic components additively built via laser powder bed fusion. Results show that thermal‐induced distortion can be respectively reduced by 69%, 58%, and 50% in comparison to a uniform lattice, a fully solid support, and a truss‐based lattice support.

$θ_{23}=π/4$ and $δ=-π/2$ In Neutrino Mixing, Which Convention? [PDF]
Considerable information has been obtained about neutrino mixing matrix. Present data show that in the particle data group (PDG) parameterization, the 2-3 mixing angle and the CP violating phase are consistent with $\theta_{23} = \pi/4$ and $\delta_{PDG} = -\pi/2$, respectively.
