Reference values for the phase angle of the electrical bioimpedance: Systematic review and meta-analysis involving more than 250,000 subjects.

Clinical Nutrition, 2020
BACKGROUND & AIMS The bioimpedence phase angle has been considered as a predictor for morbidity and mortality in different clinical situations, although reference values from a large healthy population are lacking.

Phase angle is associated with sarcopenic obesity in post-stroke patients.

Clinical Nutrition, 2023
BACKGROUND & AIMS Evidence is limited concerning the association between bioimpedance analysis-derived phase angle and sarcopenic obesity. This study examined this association in patients who underwent convalescent rehabilitation after stroke.

Exploring the potential role of phase angle as a marker of oxidative stress: A narrative review.

Nutrition (Burbank, Los Angeles County, Calif.), 2021
Chronic conditions including non-communicable diseases have become increasingly prevalent in the past decade. Proinflammatory cytokines are associated with the development of several pathologies, their prognoses, and their associated mortality.

Phase Angle as an Indicator of Baseline Nutritional Status and Sarcopenia in Acute Stroke.

Journal of Stroke & Cerebrovascular Diseases, 2021
OBJECTIVES This study aimed to investigate whether phase angle is an indicator of malnutrition and sarcopenia in acute-phase stroke patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS We conducted a retrospective observational study of stroke patients in a single acute ...

Gains, Phases and Angles

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1984
Abstract Any interactive computer-aided design technique for multivariable feedback systems is critically dependent on the deployment of an appropriate set of indicators with Which to assess stability, performance and robustness. Appropriate generalizations of the classical feedback concepts of gain and phase are developed for this purpose.

Geometric quantum phase and angles

Physical Review D, 1988
The geometric phase in quantum mechanics is formulated for charged particles in a gauge-invariant, geometric manner. It is then extended to an evolution resulting from a sequence of measurements as in the work of Pancharatnam and Aharonov and Vardi. Its close connection to the Feynman formulation of quantum mechanics is pointed out.
