The gas lift in the offshore M field will be performed with high CO2‐content associated gas, but the change of wellbore temperature and pressure during the injection process will lead to the change of phase and physical parameters of associated gas ...

On entropy change measurements around first order phase transitions in caloric materials [PDF]
In this work we discuss the measurement protocols for indirect determination of the isothermal entropy change associated with first order phase transitions in caloric materials. The magneto- structural phase transitions giving rise to giant magnetocaloric effects in Cu-doped MnAs and FeRh are used as case studies to exemplify how badly designed ...

Low Thermal Conductivity Phase Change Memory Superlattices [PDF]
Phase change memory devices are typically reset by melt-quenching a material to radically lower its electrical conductance. The high power and concomitantly high current density required to reset phase change materials is the major issue that limits the access times of 3D phase change memory architectures.

The Changing Phases of Bromopentafluorobenzene
AbstractAs part of a much larger study on non‐covalent interactions in binary adducts, we have explored the solid‐state structures of bromopentafluorobenzene (C6F5Br) using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), variable‐temperature powder X‐ray diffraction (VT‐PXRD), and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SXD).

Recent Advances in Organic/Composite Phase Change Materials for Energy Storage
Phase change materials (PCMs) store and release energy in the phase change processes. In recent years, PCMs have gained increasing attention due to their excellent properties such as high latent heat storage capacity, appropriate solid-liquid phase ...

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Investigation of the Flow-Induced Noise and Optimization Design of a Short Tube Throttle Valve [PDF]
Compared with the globe valves and other on-off valves, cavitation and noise are more severe in the throttle control valve of the refrigerating system due to the higher saturated vapor pressure of the refrigerant. A short tube throttle valve (STTV) is an

Mathematical model of hydride phase change in a symmetrical powder particle [PDF]
In the paper we construct the model of phase change. Process of hydriding / dehydriding is taken as an example. A single powder particle is considered under the assumption about its symmetry.

Hessian Geometry and Phase Change of Gibbons-Hawking Metrics [PDF]
We study the Hessian geometry of toric Gibbons-Hawking metrics and their phase change phenomena via the images of their moment maps.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.
