Field Report from Collaborative Research Center 1625: Heterogeneous Research Data Management Using Ontology Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Simulation Analysis of Temperature Field and Stress Field of Mass Concrete Under Different Construction Temperatures

open access: yesBuildings
In this study, the finite element analysis software MIDAS FEA NX was used to simulate and analyze the concrete, and the temperature regulation effect of phase change materials in concrete and its influence on crack resistance was discussed.

A Simplified Laminar Flow Model for the Pultrusion of Glass Fiber/Polyethylene Terephthalate Commingled Yarns

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase transition and landscape properties of the number partitioning problem

open access: yes, 2014
This paper empirically studies basic properties of the fitness landscape of random instances of number partitioning problem, with a focus on how these properties change with the phase transition.

Automatic Control of the Temperature in Phase Change Problems with Memory

open access: yesZeitschrift für Analysis und ihre Anwendungen, 2001
We study a parabolic two-phase system with memory occupying a bounded and smooth domain. The heat exchange at part of the boundary is controlled by a thermostat. Assuming on the phase variable either a relaxation dynamics or a Stefan condition, we prove existence and uniqueness results for feedback control problems corresponding to two different types ...

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.
