Phase assemblage of composite cements

Cement and Concrete Research, 2017
Abstract The phase assemblage of binary Portland cements with 45 wt% replacement by calcareous fly ash and slag has been investigated by experiment, mass balance and thermodynamic simulations. The input for these calculations was based on clinker reaction measured by XRD-Rietveld refinement, on SCM reaction measured by SEM-EDS full element mapping ...

Composite phase-shifting algorithm for absolute phase measurement

Optics and Lasers in Engineering, 2012
Abstract This paper presents a method to recover absolute phase by using only four images: three phase-shifted patterns and one stair pattern. The stair pattern is designed in such a way that the stair changes are perfectly aligned with the phase jumps, and thus absolute phase can be recovered by referring to the stair pattern.

Composite pulses without phase distortion

Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1985
Abstract Composite pulses for broadband spin excitation over large ranges of radiofrequency field amplitudes and resonance offsets are presented. They are derived according to a previously presented method based on the Magnus expansion in the manner of coherent averaging theory. It is shown theoretically and in simulations that these composite pulses

Phase Composition and Phase Stability of Alloy IN939

1982
The experimental techniques of atom probe time of flight mass spectrometry, field emission STEM X-ray microanalysis and electron probe microanalysis have been used to investigate the composition and stability of the various phases in alloy IN939 as a function of heat treatment and long term exposure. The results show a need for some refinement of phase

Mineralogy and Phase Composition

1974
Names and formulas of 24 common meteoritic minerals are listed in Table V-1. Their crystal structures and meteoritic occurrences are summarized by Keil (1969a), who also summarizes information about the less common minerals. Mason (1967d; 1972) gives brief general reviews of the mineralogy of meteorites, and Van Schmus (1969a) a somewhat more detailed ...

Phase Engineered Composite Phase Change Materials for Thermal Energy Manipulation

Small
AbstractPhase change materials (PCMs) present a dual thermal management functionality through intrinsic thermal energy storage (TES) capabilities while maintaining a constant temperature. However, the practical application of PCMs encounters challenges, primarily stemming from their low thermal conductivity and shape‐stability issues.

Composites based on mechanosynthesized G-phases Ti6Co16Si7 and Ti6Ni16Si7: phase composition and properties

Mechanical alloying of elemental powders in Ti-M-Si (M = Co, Ni) systems and subsequent thermal treatment were applied to synthesize new Ti6Co16Si7- and Ti6Ni16Si7- based composites (≈90 vol.%). These phases are formed above 545°C and 459°C for cobalt- and nickel-containing systems, respectively, and belong to a family of G-phases. Mechanically alloyed
