Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Composition of the aqueous phase of chromaffin granules [PDF]

open access: yesBiochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1979
Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy has been used to determine the composition of the aqueous phase of bovine chromaffin granules. Relative concentrations of catecholamines (epinephrine plus norepinephrine), ATP and chromogranins have been measured from integrated intensities in the proton spectra using computer simulation techniques.

Time Toxicity in Wilms Tumor: Quantifying the Burden of Healthcare Interaction in the First Year After Diagnosis

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Size Evolution and Composition of the Intermediate Phase During Nonclassical Protein Crystal Growth from Solution

open access: yes, 2020
We propose here that the intermediate nucleation phase identified in a certain caseof protein crystal growth actually consists of two distinct parts; a low density andhigher density phase. A theory for crystal growth is utilized to study the formationand

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Effect of phase composition on the parameters of non-isothermal moisture transfer in unsaturated sandy soils

open access: yesJournal of Civil Engineering and Management, 2014
This paper considers the influence of phase composition on the parameters of non-isothermal moisture transfer in unsaturated sandy soils. The technique of study options non-isothermal moisture transfer to disperse soil of disturbed structure.

Dietary Protein Intake and Peritoneal Protein Losses in Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients lose protein in their waste dialysate, potentially increasing their risk for malnutrition. We wished to determine whether there was any association between losses and dietary protein intake (DPI). Methods DPI was assessed from 24‐h dietary recall using Nutrics software.

Impedance spectroscopy of hollandite-like ceramic composite material of K2O-MnO-Cr2O3-TiO2 system [PDF]

open access: yesЭлектрохимическая энергетика
The electrochemical properties of a ceramic composite material in which a hollandite-like potassiumchromium titanate solid solution is presented as the main phase were studied using impedance spectroscopy.

Composition-Dependent Dielectric Properties of Poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene)s Near the Morphotropic Phase Boundary

open access: yes, 2019
The discovery of relaxor behavior in poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF-TrFE)] copolymers plays a crucial role in driving the formation of a morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) near which large enhancements of dielectric and piezoelectric
