Control and Observability Aspects of Phase Synchronization
This paper addresses important control and observability aspects of the phase synchronization of two oscillators. To this aim a feedback control framework is proposed based on which issues related to master-slave synchronization are analyzed.

This paper deals with the control of current phase advancing in single-leg voltage source inverters (VSI) and matrix converters with a two-phase output. The phase shift of the current in the auxiliary phase is set with the use of switched capacitors. Two

ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

$\mathcal{PT}$ phase control in circular multicore fibers
We consider light dynamics in a circular multicore fiber with balanced gain and loss core distribution, and show that transition from unbroken to broken $\mathcal{PT}$ phases can be conveniently controlled by geometric twist of the fiber.

Mitigating Cascading Failures in Interdependent Power Grids and Communication Networks [PDF]
In this paper, we study the interdependency between the power grid and the communication network used to control the grid. A communication node depends on the power grid in order to receive power for operation, and a power node depends on the ...

Phase-controlled Fourier-transform spectroscopy [PDF]
AbstractFourier-transform spectroscopy (FTS) has been widely used as a standard analytical technique over the past half-century. FTS is an autocorrelation-based technique that is compatible with both temporally coherent and incoherent light sources, and functions as an active or passive spectrometer.

MYCN Amplification in RB1‐Inactivated Retinoblastoma: Association With High‐Risk Features
ABSTRACT Background MYCN amplification occurs in a subset of retinoblastoma cases, both with and without RB1 inactivation. It has been suggested that retinoblastomas with MYCN amplification represent a distinct entity with more aggressive clinical behavior.

Shaping the Phase of a Single Photon
While the phase of a coherent light field can be precisely known, the phase of the individual photons that create this field, considered individually, cannot. Phase changes within single-photon wave packets, however, have observable effects.

ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Sliding mode control for a phase field system related to tumor growth
In the present contribution we study the sliding mode control (SMC) problem for a diffuse interface tumor growth model coupling a viscous Cahn-Hilliard type equation for the phase variable with a reaction-diffusion equation for the nutrient.
